Removing the QuietStove®

  1. 1.Wait for the stove and the QuietStove® to cool completely.

  2. 2.Grasp the QuietStove® by the sides and pull upwards.

  3. 3.A condition exists that may require additional effort to remove the QuietStove® from the bell housing.  When the bell housing on your stove is heated, the metal expands. This can cause the QuietStove® to seat slightly further into the bell housing. When the stove cools the bell housing can grip onto the QuietStove® (metal contracts when cooled. The QuietStove® may stick into the bell housing. If this happens then try removing the burner with a pliers (don't pick up a hot burner with your hands!) or similar tool immediately after the stove is turned off. It is recommended to carry a tool in your pack capable of grasping the QuietStove® should removal be required in the field.
